Independent Lifestyle Options was established in 2005 to provide a range of housing and lifestyle opportunities for people with disabilities.

 

In December 2006 Hemmet House was opened in Carshalton Beeches in Surrey, offering group living in the local community to seven disabled young adults.

Our philosophy of care is to provide the support, advice and inspiration to those that need it, whenever and wherever it is required. We aim to support and encourage every individual to get the most out of life and realise their full potential.

Hemmet House is very much the residents’ home. They are fully involved in all decisions regarding the general running of the house, from meals provided and daily food bought, to the decoration of rooms and recruitment of staff. The CQC report following our Key inspection commented that Hemmet House provides a service ‘which places the resident at the centre of everything it does’.
